Chelsea 2018 has gone back to its roots, celebrating the way that plants can be used to bring a sense of normality to fractured lives, tackle major environmental issues, create havens of escape, bring joy, hope and healing.
After a rather disappointing year in 2017 Chelsea 2018 is back to full strength, with 500 exhibitors, 100 exhibits in the Great Pavilion and 27 gardens to delight and inspire.
Talking of plants the major show gardens are created with high density planting with an average of 3010 plants, while the artisan gardens have over 1000 plants shoehorned into them, reassuring me that there is room to pack in a few more specimens back at Enthusiast Towers.
The show ground was alive with activity today, as finishing touches are made to the gardens and exhibits.
